Role Description The English Teacher – IGCSE will deliver high-quality English language and literature instruction to Cambridge IGCSE learners, following the school’s academic standards and curriculum guidelines. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, preparing assessments, providing constructive feedback, and supporting learners’ progress through differentiated instruction. The role involves creating a positive classroom environment, integrating 21st-century skills, and collaborating with colleagues on curriculum planning, examination preparation, and co-curricular activities. The teacher will maintain accurate records, communicate regularly with parents and guardians, and participate in professional development initiatives and school events. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Tiruchirappalli campus.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with proven experience handling IGCSE or similar international curricula.
- Candidates should possess effective Lesson Planning skills, including the ability to design structured, engaging, and learner-centered lesson plans.
- Candidates should possess solid Education-related knowledge, including pedagogy, assessment practices, and classroom management strategies.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interaction with learners, families, and colleagues.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; formal teacher training or certification in IGCSE/Cambridge curriculum is preferred.
- Experience teaching middle and high school learners in a school setting, with the ability to support diverse learning needs.
- Comfort with using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
