Role Description The Duty Manager at The Fern Hotels & Resorts in Bodh Gaya is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing day-to-day hotel operations and ensuring a seamless guest experience. This role includes supervising front office activities, coordinating with housekeeping, food and beverage, and other departments to maintain service standards. The Duty Manager handles guest queries and complaints, manages reservations and room allocations, and ensures that brand and environmental policies are followed. The position also involves monitoring staff performance during shifts, supporting training efforts, and ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures. The Duty Manager acts as the primary contact person during their shift, representing hotel management in operational matters.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in hotel operations, front office management, and shift supervision.
- Proficiency in guest relations, conflict resolution, and service recovery.
- Ability to coordinate across departments such as housekeeping, food and beverage, and security.
- Knowledge of hotel reservation systems, property management systems (PMS), and basic reporting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Attention to detail and a focus on delivering consistent, high-quality service.
- Understanding of environmental sustainability practices in hospitality is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or duty manager role in hotels or resorts is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational requirements.
