Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dietitian role based in Bhubaneswar. The Dietitian will assess patients’ nutritional status, review medical histories, and develop individualized diet plans aligned with medical conditions and health goals. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one nutritional counseling, delivering Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT), and supporting weight management programs in coordination with healthcare professionals. The role involves monitoring patient progress, adjusting nutrition interventions, maintaining accurate records, and educating patients, caregivers, and internal teams on evidence-based nutrition practices. The Dietitian will also contribute to health promotion initiatives, support product or therapy-related nutrition communication, and uphold Zydus Wellness’s standards of patient care and professional ethics.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge in Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to apply current evidence-based guidelines.
- Candidates should possess skills in Nutritional Counseling, including patient education, behavior change support, and clear, empathetic communication.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Medical Nutrition Therapy for conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal issues, and other lifestyle-related disorders.
- Candidates should possess competencies in Weight Management, including designing safe, sustainable diet plans and monitoring outcomes.
- Relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related discipline; registration or certification as a Dietitian/Nutritionist is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and a patient-centric approach to care.
- Ability to maintain detailed clinical documentation, interpret lab and diagnostic reports, and use basic digital tools for record-keeping.
- Prior experience in hospital, clinic, or community nutrition settings, particularly in metabolic and lifestyle disease management, will be an advantage.
