As the senior engineer in the tech team, you will drive technical projects, mostly independently. You
will report to the technical lead / Senior product engineer who will be responsible for the module(s)
and will be his/her dependable and trusted senior developer.
Required Experience and Skills
● 3+ years of experience in software development.
● Problem solver at heart and data driven decision maker.
● Experience in building systems using Java, mysql, SQS / Kafka, Redis and Spring boot.
● Experience in designing and writing RESTful web services.
● Experience in angular / reactJS would be a plus.
● Experience in building ERP software products with decent knowledge on cloud infrastructure.
● Experience in enterprise SaaS would be a plus.
● Experience in delivering atleast two projects, end-to-end with clear impact metrics.
● Ability to communicate concerns and blockers effectively in a remote environment.
● Good communication skills - Explain technical concepts clearly to the team, participate in
constructive discussions during system design and reviews.
● Good at time management and task prioritization.

Job Description
● Execute projects independently with minimal supervision with the above skillsets and any
additional learning wherever required.
● Understand product requirements and come up with short term and long term solutions.
● Prepare and present design suggestions and project plans to the management.
● Write high and low level design docs with impact areas and task breakdown and estimates.
● Mentor junior engineers - review their code, unblock them on technical issues.
● Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
● Perform root-cause-analysis on system failures and process misses.
● Measure system performance and tune it for perfection.
● Escalate blocker / concern on projects and systems whenever necessary.
● Drive effective integration of your system module with external service providers with
appropriate retry logic, rate-limiting and failure tolerance.
● Constructively discuss with stakeholders on bugs v/s features v/s support and unblock
business whenever and wherever necessary.
● Help in hiring suitable talent by interviewing for junior engineer roles.
● Follow the on-call roster to be available and help unblock blockers for business operations.
● Maintain technical documentation for codebases and systems - APIs, user manuals and system
designs.
