Role Description The Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, focused on guiding prospective and current learners through academic and career decisions. In this role, the Counselor conducts one-on-one counseling sessions, understands learners’ interests and goals, and recommends appropriate programs and pathways. The Counselor responds to inquiries via in-person meetings, phone, and digital channels, supports admission and orientation processes, and maintains accurate records of counseling interactions. Daily responsibilities also include collaborating with faculty and administrative teams, organizing information sessions, and providing ongoing support to help learners stay engaged and successful throughout their courses.
Qualifications
- Strong learner counseling and guidance skills, including the ability to assess interests, strengths, and career goals.
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills for working with diverse learners and families.
- Organizational and administrative skills for managing appointments, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Comfort with basic computer applications and educational CRM or student management systems.
- Understanding of or interest in aviation, travel & tourism, hospitality, and foreign language education sectors.
- Ability to work on-site in Indore, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Management, or a related field; formal counseling training or certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, career guidance, or admissions in an educational or training institute is preferred.
