Role Description The Counselor for Overseas Education will work full time on-site at the Mumbai office, supporting students who plan to pursue higher education abroad. This role involves conducting one-on-one counseling sessions to understand students’ academic backgrounds, interests, and career aspirations, and recommending suitable programs and universities. The counselor will guide students through application processes, documentation requirements, and deadlines, while coordinating with international institutions and internal teams. Daily responsibilities include providing career counseling, explaining admission and visa procedures, organizing information sessions or workshops, and maintaining accurate records of student interactions and progress. The counselor will also communicate regularly with students and families, offering clear, professional advice that helps them make informed decisions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Educational Consulting and Education-related advisory.
- Candidates should possess skills in Student Counseling and Career Counseling to guide students effectively.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and partner institutions.
- Relevant experience in overseas education counseling, study-abroad advisory, or academic guidance is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple cases concurrently, and maintain organized documentation.
- Proficiency with basic office software and comfort using digital platforms for research, communication, and student tracking.
- Strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and a student-centered approach to service.
