Role Description The Chief Manager – Production (EHV Cable) is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, responsible for leading end-to-end production operations for Extra High Voltage (EHV) cables. This position oversees production planning, scheduling, and execution to meet volume, quality, safety, and cost targets. The role includes supervising cross-functional production teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and ensuring adherence to national and international standards and certifications.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end production operations for 66 kV to 220 kV EHV cables, ensuring adherence to production plans, quality standards, and customer delivery schedules.
- Drive safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacturing operations while achieving productivity, quality, and operational excellence targets.
- Plan and monitor production schedules in coordination with Planning, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to ensure on-time order execution.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and utilities to maximize plant efficiency and capacity utilization.
- Oversee critical manufacturing processes including conductor preparation, triple-layer extrusion, XLPE insulation, CCV curing, metallic screening, sheathing, degassing, and final finishing operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with manufacturing process parameters, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions to achieve consistent product quality.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Technical, Maintenance, and R&D teams to resolve process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Monitor and control key production KPIs including productivity, yield, rejection, rework, downtime, OEE, energy consumption, and manufacturing costs.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and all statutory, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Develop and mentor production teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous learning.
