Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at Mitti in Indore. The Barista will prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks that align with Mitti’s organic and natural philosophy. Daily responsibilities include handling food and drink preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at the counter and seating areas, and following recipes and presentation standards. The role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, answering menu questions, and providing attentive customer service to ensure a warm, homely experience. The Barista will also manage basic cashier duties, restock supplies, and collaborate with the kitchen and bakery teams to support smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Barista skills with experience in preparing coffee and other beverages, preferably in a café or restaurant setting.
- Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills to engage guests positively and build a welcoming environment.
- Effective Communication skills for clear order taking, menu explanation, and coordination with team members.
- Food Preparation experience, with an understanding of hygiene, safety standards, and organic or health-focused ingredients.
- Ability to work on-site in Indore on a full-time schedule, including weekends or peak hours as required.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a genuine interest in healthy, sustainable, and vegetarian food culture.
- Prior experience in a café, bistro, or restaurant is preferred; basic POS/cash handling skills are an advantage.
