Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role located at HasTea Cafe in Mumbai. The Barista prepares a variety of tea and coffee beverages, follows standard recipes, and ensures consistent quality and presentation. Daily responsibilities include taking orders, operating the POS system, handling payments, and providing attentive customer service at the counter and tables. The role involves food preparation for light snacks, maintaining cleanliness of the service area and equipment, restocking supplies, and adhering to health and safety guidelines. The Barista collaborates with the team to manage peak hours smoothly, supports opening and closing procedures, and helps create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously and clearly with guests.
- Barista experience or skills in beverage preparation, including making tea, coffee, and related drinks.
- Interpersonal Skills that support teamwork, conflict resolution, and a positive guest experience.
- Food Preparation skills for handling ingredients, assembling snacks, and following hygiene standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple tasks during busy hours.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills, with familiarity using a POS system preferred.
- Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or retail environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
