Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barista role based at Nourri Café & Patisserie in Vivek Vihar. The Barista will prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages according to café recipes and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include taking customer orders, processing payments, explaining menu items, and ensuring a friendly and efficient service experience. The role involves maintaining cleanliness of the coffee bar and seating areas, restocking supplies, handling basic food preparation and plating for pastries, and following hygiene and safety guidelines. The Barista will also support opening and closing duties, work closely with the kitchen and service team, and help create a warm, welcoming environment for every guest.
Qualifications
- Experience preparing coffee and espresso-based beverages, with basic knowledge of brewing methods and drink presentation.
- Strong customer service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional approach.
- Ability to handle cash registers or POS systems, manage accurate transactions, and follow standard operating procedures.
- Attention to hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness, including regular sanitizing of equipment and work areas.
- Capacity to work on your feet for extended periods, lift light to moderate loads, and manage a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and teamwork, with a willingness to learn and adapt to café standards.
- Prior experience in a café, bakery, or hospitality setting is preferred but motivated entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Basic proficiency in English or local languages to interact effectively with guests and colleagues.
