About us
Boon makes air purifiers and smart water taps for homes. We are part of the Swajal group, which has been running water purification systems for hotels and institutions for several years, including the Taj Group. The team is small and we are growing, so the person in this role will have a real say in who joins us.
The role
We are hiring for sales, operations, accounts and the Founder's Office this year, and we also want to start hiring from campuses. We need one person to handle recruitment for all of this and to look after new joiners until they are fully on board.
The Location: Gurugram- onsite
Salary Range: ₹8 to 9 LPA
What the work involves
- End-to-end hiring for office roles in sales, operations, accounts/finance and the Founder's Office. You will work with the department heads to understand each requirement and close it.
- Finding candidates yourself through LinkedIn, referrals and your own network. Senior roles will rarely close through job portals alone.
- Campus hiring at engineering colleges and B-schools. This includes tying up with placement cells, pre-placement talks, tests and interviews, and managing interns we may convert to full-time.
- Working with recruitment consultants for senior positions.
- First-round interviews, salary discussions and offers. You will also stay in touch with selected candidates during their notice period so we don't lose them at the last minute.
- Talking to candidates about the company. For many of them you will be the first person from Boon they speak to, so you should know our products and clients well.
- Keeping our LinkedIn and job portal presence updated.
- Joining formalities: offer and appointment letters, documents, background verification, PF/UAN, ESIC where applicable, and salary account opening with our bank.
- Induction for new joiners: introductions to the founders and team leads, and a visit to a client site or our product team.
- Checking in with new joiners in their first three months.
- Keeping basic hiring data such as positions open, time to close, offers made versus joined, and early exits.
We are looking for someone who
- has 4 to 6 years of recruitment experience, with at least 3 years of hiring for corporate or office roles
- has done campus hiring before (existing college contacts will help)
- has hired for sales, finance or operations, preferably at mid to senior levels
- can have a confident conversation with a senior candidate and judge whether they are right for a small company
- speaks and writes well in English and Hindi
- knows PF and ESIC joining procedures
- is comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets and LinkedIn Recruiter
An MBA/PGDM in HR is preferred but not required if your experience is strong.
Experience in a startup, consumer brand or hardware company, or hiring for a Founder's Office or Chief of Staff role, will be an advantage.
