Role Description As an Admissions Counselor at Profession Hike, you will guide prospective students and families through the process of exploring colleges, courses, and career options, primarily focused on the Indian higher education landscape. You will conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, respond to inquiries, explain admission requirements, and help users understand eligibility, application timelines, and available scholarships. You will collaborate with the internal team to stay updated on the latest information about institutions and programs, and use this knowledge to provide accurate recommendations. The role also involves maintaining records of interactions, following up with leads, and supporting outreach and student engagement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal communication and general communication skills to counsel diverse learners and families.
- Customer service experience in handling inquiries, resolving concerns, and providing supportive guidance.
- Sales-related abilities to manage leads, present program options clearly, and encourage informed enrollment decisions.
- Background or interest in education, career guidance, or academic advising.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; fields related to education, counseling, or management are an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Lucknow, manage multiple cases, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and online communication platforms.
- Fluency in English and Hindi; additional regional languages are a plus.
