Role Description The Education Counselor role at Scholar Steps Consulting LLP is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Education Counselor will meet with students and families to understand their academic background, interests, and goals, and provide guidance on suitable courses, colleges, and career paths. Daily responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, explaining admission processes and requirements, supporting application preparation, and maintaining accurate records of counseling interactions. The role also involves organizing and participating in seminars or workshops, staying updated on educational opportunities in India and abroad, and collaborating with colleagues to develop counseling materials and resources. The Education Counselor is expected to offer clear, unbiased advice and maintain professional, ethical standards in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Educational Consulting and Education to advise on academic pathways and institutional options.
- Candidates should possess Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to support learners in academic and career decision-making.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Candidates should preferably hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Candidates should demonstrate active listening, empathy, and the ability to work with diverse student backgrounds.
- Candidates should be proficient in basic computer applications and comfortable maintaining digital records and reports.
- Prior experience in an educational institution, counseling center, or education consultancy is an advantage.
