Role Description The Home Interior Professional will manage the complete interior design lifecycle for residential projects, including concept development, space planning, material selection, and coordination with vendors and contractors. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting clients to understand requirements, preparing design proposals and mood boards, and ensuring designs align with budget, timelines, and quality standards. The role involves site visits in Bengaluru to supervise installation, monitor workmanship, and resolve any on-site issues in collaboration with the project team. The Home Interior Professional will also maintain project documentation, communicate regularly with clients on progress, and suggest improvements based on functional needs and design best practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
- Ability to develop interior layouts, space plans, and design concepts for residential homes, with an understanding of ergonomics and functionality.
- Proficiency in using design tools or software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and the ability to create basic drawings, 2D plans, or visual presentations.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and decor elements, with the ability to recommend options that meet client preferences and budgets.
- Strong client communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen, explain design choices clearly, and manage expectations professionally.
- Organizational and project coordination skills, including managing timelines, overseeing on-site work, and collaborating with vendors, contractors, and team members.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to identify design or execution issues early and suggest practical, aesthetic solutions.
- Relevant education in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience in home interiors will also be considered.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru, with flexibility to conduct multiple site visits and manage parallel projects when required.
