Role Overview:
We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager – Watches to support the growth and profitability of the watches category. The role will involve managing the product portfolio, brands, pricing, inventory, promotions, and overall category performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the watches category across assortment, pricing, margins, inventory, and sales.
- Identify market trends, consumer preferences, and new brand/product opportunities.
- Coordinate with brands, suppliers, and internal teams for product launches and availability.
- Analyse sales, stock, competition, and category KPIs to drive growth.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
- Monitor competitor pricing, assortment, and market activity.
- Support forecasting, inventory planning, and stock optimisation.
- Prepare regular category performance reports and business reviews.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Retail, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in category management-watches.
- Strong analytical and Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Good understanding of retail/e-commerce business and consumer behaviour.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
