JD for Production Merchandiser - Denim & Knits
Location: Dombivali Factory
Employment: Full-Time, Factory-Based
Reports to: Senior Production Merchandiser
Role Pourpose
Manage the end-to-end production of denim and knitwear orders, from order handover to dispatch, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, cost control, and smooth factory execution.
Key Responsibility
- Review tech packs, size charts, trims and buyer requirements.
- Maintain style-wise order files, quantities, approvals and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate fabric, trims, wash, printing, embroidery and other job-work requirements.
- Track fabric/trims inward, consumption and wastage.
- Prepare and monitor production plans for cutting, stitching, washing, finishing and packing.
- Coordinate daily with factory departments and follow up on production progress.
- Identify and escalate delays, bottlenecks and capacity issues early.
- Coordinate with QC for first-piece, inline, mid-line and final inspections.
- Track quality issues and ensure corrective actions are closed.
- Support costing through consumption and vendor/job-work data.
- Maintain accurate production trackers, reports and style documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, mills, wash houses and job-work units.
- Keep the Senior Production Merchandiser updated on order status, risks and pending actions.

- Identify problems early and suggest recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and production tracking.
- Manage denim and knit orders simultaneously.
- Follow up strongly across departments and vendors.
Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of production merchandising experience.
- Garment factory experience is essential.
- Denim and knitwear experience preferred.
- Knowledge of denim washing, knit GSM, shrinkage and stretch is an advantage.
- Good understanding of garment construction and production flow.
- Strong Excel, coordination, follow-up and problem-solving skills.
- Good English/Hindi/Marathi communication.
- Comfortable working both on the factory floor and with documentation.
