Role Description This is a full-time, on-site VMC Maintenance Engineering role based in the Pune Division. The role involves performing routine and corrective maintenance on VMC (Vertical Machining Center) equipment to ensure optimal machine performance and minimal downtime. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring machine operations, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and coordinating repair activities. The individual will maintain maintenance records, support production teams with technical issues, and collaborate with suppliers or service partners when specialized repairs are required. The role also involves following safety standards, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and general Maintenance activities for VMC and related machinery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance, including planning and executing scheduled servicing and inspections.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair, including component replacement, adjustments, and calibration.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.
- Experience in CNC/VMC machine maintenance within manufacturing or automotive component production environments is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Knowledge of safety practices, 5S, and basic lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and ability to work in coordination with production and quality teams.
