Role Description The Video Editor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw video footage into polished content for marketing, training, and documentation purposes, aligning visuals with the company’s brand and messaging. Daily tasks include cutting and arranging clips, adding transitions, sound effects, and music, inserting captions or graphics, and ensuring audio-visual quality across all deliverables. The role involves collaborating with internal teams to understand project requirements, following creative briefs and timelines, and preparing videos in suitable formats for digital platforms and presentations. The Video Editor will also maintain organized project files, manage backups, and continuously improve content based on feedback and performance insights.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong video editing skills using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Candidates should possess skills in motion graphics, basic animation, and visual effects to enhance video quality and engagement.
- Candidates should possess skills in audio editing, sound mixing, and integration of voice-overs, music, and sound effects.
- Candidates should possess skills in storytelling, visual composition, and understanding of pacing, continuity, and audience-focused content.
- Candidates should possess skills in file management, video exporting for various platforms, and basic knowledge of formats, codecs, and resolutions.
- Relevant experience in video editing for corporate, commercial, or social media content is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow creative briefs, and openness to constructive feedback.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams on-site in Mumbai.
- A diploma or degree in film, media, communications, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory if supported by a strong portfolio.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video editing work is highly desirable.
