Role Description The Caller role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Caller will contact prospective students and partners, explain available training programs, and respond to inquiries in a clear and professional manner. Daily responsibilities include making outbound and receiving inbound calls, maintaining accurate records of conversations, and updating databases with relevant information. The role also involves following up with leads, coordinating with internal teams for scheduling and documentation, and providing basic guidance to callers about courses, admission procedures, and career pathways. The Caller is expected to meet call volume and quality targets while contributing to a respectful, learner-focused experience.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear speaking ability in English and local languages, active listening, and polite telephone etiquette.
- Customer service and relationship-building skills to handle inquiries, resolve basic concerns, and maintain a positive engagement with students and partners.
- Basic computer and data entry skills, including familiarity with spreadsheets, CRM or call management tools, and accurate record-keeping.
- Organizational and time-management skills to manage call lists, follow-up schedules, and daily reporting efficiently.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, collaborate with team members, and adapt to structured targets and performance goals.
- Prior experience in calling, telemarketing, admissions counseling, or customer support is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Minimum educational qualification of higher secondary (12th pass); a graduate degree in any discipline is preferred.
- Respectful, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory attitude towards all learners, especially those from rural and marginalized backgrounds.
