Role Description The Team Leader role is a full-time, on-site position based in Jalandhar. The Team Leader will oversee a team of field executives, plan daily activities, and ensure effective execution of retail programs at store level. Responsibilities include assigning tasks, monitoring performance, tracking targets, and reporting results to management. The role involves coordinating with retailers and brand representatives, resolving operational issues, and maintaining high standards of merchandising, availability, and visibility. The Team Leader will also support training and coaching of team members, enforce company policies, and contribute to continuous improvement in field operations.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience supervising or coordinating teams in retail, sales, or field operations.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, and monitoring daily activities, including target tracking and performance reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, retailers, and brand representatives.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle on-ground issues and maintain service quality.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with spreadsheets, reporting tools, and mobile applications used for field tracking.
- Prior experience in FMCG, retail, merchandising, or distribution operations is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Jalandhar travel locally as required, and adapt to a fast-paced field environment.
- Minimum educational qualification: graduate degree or equivalent; additional training in retail or sales management is beneficial.
