Role Description The Area Business Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Ludhiana. This position is responsible for managing sales operations in the assigned territory, including planning and achieving sales targets for khal binola and cattle feed products. Day-to-day tasks include meeting and onboarding distributors and retailers, tracking orders and collections, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring timely supply in coordination with the production and logistics teams. The role involves regular market visits to understand customer needs, gather competitive insights, and implement promotional activities. The Area Business Manager is also expected to prepare periodic sales reports, maintain accurate records, and support the development of territory-specific growth plans.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including territory management and target achievement.
- Experience in channel management, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors and retailers.
- Solid communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present products and handle customer queries effectively.
- Basic data analysis and reporting skills for tracking sales performance, market trends, and inventory status.
- Knowledge of the animal feed or agri-products sector is preferred; experience in FMCG or related industries is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site, travel regularly within the territory, and operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Agriculture, or a related field is beneficial.
- Proficiency in local language and English, and familiarity with basic computer applications (e.g., Excel, email, CRM tools).
