Role Description The EV Charger Engineer will work on-site in Ludhiana in a full-time capacity, focusing on installation, commissioning, and maintenance of EV charging stations and related electrical infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include reviewing technical drawings, performing site assessments, coordinating with project managers and field technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues with chargers, performing routine inspections, and documenting work through reports and logs. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project planning, optimize charger performance, and implement improvements based on field data. Interaction with clients and vendors may be required to clarify technical requirements, support audits, and ensure timely project execution.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong electrical engineering skills, including knowledge of power systems, wiring, grounding, and electrical safety standards relevant to EV charging infrastructure.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with EV chargers or similar power electronics equipment, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with technical drawings, schematics, and documentation, including the ability to interpret layouts, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Candidates should possess solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose faults, evaluate test results, and recommend corrective actions in the field.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with project managers, field teams, clients, and vendors, and to prepare clear technical reports.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; relevant certifications in EV charging systems or electrical safety are an advantage.
- Prior experience in telecom, power, solar, or infrastructure projects, and familiarity with audit or survey-based work, will be considered beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Ludhiana, travel to project locations as needed, and adhere to health, safety, and quality standards is required.
