Role Description The Study Abroad Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The advisor will guide prospective students through the study abroad process, including program selection, application procedures, and documentation requirements. Daily responsibilities include conducting consultations, explaining academic pathways, advising on visa processes, and coordinating with international institutions and partners. The role involves maintaining accurate records, delivering informational sessions or workshops, and responding promptly to student and family inquiries. The advisor will collaborate with internal teams to improve advising materials, support marketing initiatives related to study abroad programs, and contribute to a positive, growth-focused office culture.
Qualifications
- Educational Consulting skills to advise students on suitable study abroad programs, academic pathways, and institutional choices.
- Strong Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills for one-on-one advising, group presentations, and collaboration with families and partners.
- Knowledge of Visas and related documentation processes to guide students through immigration and compliance requirements.
- Consulting skills to assess student needs, provide tailored guidance, and support decision-making throughout the application journey.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, international relations, business, or a related field.
- Experience in study abroad advising, international education, or academic counseling is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment while maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in common office and communication software.
