Role Description This full-time, on-site Career Counselor role is based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area and involves supporting learners with academic and professional decision-making. The Career Counselor will conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions, assess students’ interests and strengths, and guide them toward suitable educational and career paths. Daily responsibilities include administering and interpreting career assessments, providing information on courses and job options, and helping students create actionable career development plans. The role also includes maintaining accurate counseling records, collaborating with faculty and administration, organizing career guidance workshops, and staying updated on current job market trends. The Career Counselor is expected to provide equitable, unbiased guidance to a diverse student population and uphold ethical counseling practices.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling to support diverse learners with academic and career choices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Development and Career Management to help individuals plan, track, and adjust long-term career goals.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear articulation, and the ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, or a related field are beneficial.
- Additional skills such as empathy, cultural sensitivity, basic computer proficiency (MS Office, online counseling tools), and experience in educational or counseling settings are advantageous.
