Role Description The Admissions Counselor role at Sunstone is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. The counselor will engage with prospective students and families, explain program offerings, admission processes, and career outcomes, and support them in making informed decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling inbound and outbound inquiries, conducting counseling sessions in person and over phone or video, and maintaining accurate records of leads and conversions in the admissions system. The role involves collaborating with marketing and academic teams to align messaging, participating in outreach events and campus activities, and meeting admission and enrollment targets while providing a respectful, inclusive experience to all applicants.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Interpersonal Communication skills for effective engagement with students, families, and institutional stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide responsive, supportive, and solution-oriented assistance throughout the admissions process.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to manage leads, conduct persuasive yet ethical counseling, and achieve enrollment targets.
- Candidates should possess Education-related understanding, such as familiarity with higher education programs, career pathways, and student development needs.
- Relevant skills and qualifications include proficiency with CRM or admissions management tools, ability to work with data and reports, strong organizational and time management skills, and comfort presenting to groups.
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred; prior experience in admissions, counseling, or education services is an advantage.
