Role Description The Sr. Tekla Detailer is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, responsible for producing accurate and detailed 3D models and drawings using Tekla Structures for steel and RCC projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing shop and fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and connection details, while ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and project standards. The role involves coordinating with structural engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to clarify requirements, resolve detailing issues, and support smooth execution at site and workshop. The Sr. Tekla Detailer will review and validate models and drawings for quality and constructability, manage revisions, and maintain organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle. The position may also include mentoring junior detailers and contributing to the continuous improvement of detailing processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures for steel and RCC detailing, including 3D modeling, shop drawings, and GA drawings.
- Solid understanding of structural design and detailing principles, including connections, load paths, and relevant codes and standards.
- Experience collaborating with engineers, fabricators, and site teams, with the ability to interpret structural drawings and specifications accurately.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and revisions within deadlines.
- Good communication skills, organized work habits, and a commitment to quality and safety in detailing and documentation.
- Relevant technical qualification in civil/structural engineering or drafting (diploma or degree), with prior experience as a Tekla Detailer; senior-level experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with other CAD or BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and experience in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
