Job Title: Senior PEB Detailer / Checker
Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior PEB Detailer / Checker with strong experience in Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) and structural steel detailing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, checking and reviewing the work of junior detailers, ensuring drawing accuracy, and providing technical guidance to the team. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical expertise and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Detailing & Drafting:
- Prepare Shop Drawings, Erection Drawings, General Arrangement (GA) Drawings, and Fabrication Drawings for PEB projects.
- Create and update detailed drawings using CAD software.
- Prepare and verify Bills of Materials (BOM) for structural components.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, company standards, and detailing practices.
- Independently handle detailing activities and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
Checking & Quality Control:
- Review and check drawings, BOMs, and detailing outputs prepared by junior detailers.
- Identify and rectify detailing errors, omissions, and inconsistencies before final submission.
- Maintain accuracy, quality, and standardization across all project deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to established drafting and detailing procedures.
Team Leadership & Mentoring:
- Lead and support a team of junior detailers.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed within deadlines.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
- Assist team members in resolving detailing-related challenges and improving their technical skills.
Coordination:
- Work closely with senior detailers and internal engineering teams to understand project requirements.
- Support smooth workflow and effective communication within the detailing team.
- Participate in drawing reviews and contribute to process improvements.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in PEB and structural steel detailing.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Sound knowledge of Shop Drawings, Erection Drawings, GA Drawings, and BOM preparation.
- Strong checking and quality review capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lead, guide, and mentor junior detailers.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Educational Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 4–7 years of experience in PEB or Structural Steel Detailing.
- Proven experience in both detailing and checking functions.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring junior detailers is preferred.
