Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nasik for a Steel SDS/2 Modeler | Erector | Detailer | Team Lead. The role involves creating and modifying steel models in SDS/2, preparing detailed shop and erection drawings, and coordinating with engineering teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with AISC standards. The team member will review design documents, identify and resolve clashes or discrepancies, and communicate with project managers, fabricators, and erectors to address technical questions. As a Team Lead, the role includes assigning tasks, mentoring junior detailers/modelers, monitoring project progress, and maintaining quality control across deliverables. Daily work also involves adhering to project timelines, updating documentation, and supporting continuous improvement of detailing processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong SDS/2 modeling and steel detailing skills, with experience preparing shop and erection drawings.
- Candidates should possess skills in interpreting structural and architectural drawings, understanding AISC standards, and applying relevant codes and specifications.
- Candidates should possess skills in project coordination, team leadership, task allocation, and mentoring less-experienced team members.
- Candidates should possess skills in quality checking, error detection, and resolving design or detailing conflicts efficiently.
- Candidates should possess skills in communication and collaboration with engineers, fabricators, erectors, and other project stakeholders.
- Diploma or degree in civil, structural, or related engineering discipline is preferred, along with prior experience in steel detailing or modeling.
- Proficiency with additional detailing or CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Structures) and familiarity with fabrication and erection workflows are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Nasik, manage deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
