The organisation is expanding its global events and commercial partnerships and is seeking an exceptional Head of Sales & Sponsorship to build and lead the revenue engine of the organisation.
Role Objective
The Head of Sales & Sponsorship will have direct responsibility for generating sponsorship, partnership, exhibition, delegate, membership and commercial revenues across all World Leaders Forum events and initiatives.
This is a highly commercial leadership position. The successful candidate will be expected to build a strong international sales pipeline, identify high-value corporate partners, close major sponsorship deals and develop long-term relationships with global brands, family offices, investors, governments, institutions and multinational companies.
Key Responsibilities1. Sponsorship Revenue
- Develop and execute the global sponsorship strategy for all WLF events.
- Own annual sponsorship revenue targets and budgets.
- Create and sell sponsorship packages ranging from supporting partnerships to global title partnerships.
- Identify companies and institutions capable of investing in high-value partnerships.
- Build relationships with CEOs, CMOs, Chief Strategy Officers, CSR/ESG heads, government relations executives and senior decision-makers.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close sponsorship contracts.
- Develop multi-event and multi-year sponsorship agreements.
2. International Sales
- Build sales pipelines across India, Middle East, Europe, UK, USA, Australia and Asia-Pacific.
- Develop country and industry-specific sales strategies.
- Identify new markets, sectors and commercial opportunities.
- Establish strategic partnerships with chambers of commerce, business councils, trade associations and corporate networks.
- Build a high-performing international sales team and regional sales representatives.
3. Event Commercialisation
Generate revenue across:
- Title Sponsorships
- Presenting Partnerships
- Strategic Partnerships
- Industry Partnerships
- CSR/ESG Partnerships
- Exhibition & Brand Activations
- VIP Tables
- Delegate Passes
- Corporate Memberships
- Leadership Awards
- Speaking Opportunities
- Networking Sessions
- Media Partnerships
- Content Partnerships
- Digital Campaigns
- Private Leadership Roundtables
- Executive Networking Experiences
4. Corporate Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing sponsors.
- Increase sponsor retention and renewal rates.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Build long-term strategic accounts rather than one-time event sponsorships.
- Ensure sponsors receive measurable commercial value and visibility.
5. Sales Team Leadership
- Recruit, train and manage sponsorship sales executives and business development managers.
- Establish weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Implement structured sales processes and reporting.
- Monitor individual and team performance.
- Conduct pipeline reviews and sales forecasting.
- Introduce CRM-based lead management and accountability systems.
6. Sales Strategy & Pipeline
The Head will be responsible for creating a predictable sales pipeline covering:
Lead Generation → Prospecting → Qualification → Meetings → Proposal → Negotiation → Contract → Payment → Renewal
- The candidate must personally lead major strategic accounts and high-value negotiations.

Within the first 12 months, the successful candidate should be able to:
- Build a strong global sponsorship pipeline.
- Secure major international corporate sponsors.
- Establish strategic relationships with Fortune 500/global brands.
- Build and manage a professional sponsorship sales team.

- Increase sponsorship revenue across WLF events.

- Build a repeatable international sales model.
- Create a strong portfolio of strategic corporate accounts.
