Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solutions Engineer role based in Coimbatore. The Solutions Engineer will work closely with manufacturing customers to understand their production environments, map requirements to LineSights’ platform capabilities, and support end-to-end solution design and deployment. Daily responsibilities include configuring integrations with shop-floor equipment, testing data flows, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to ensure reliable, real-time machine monitoring. The role involves creating and delivering technical demonstrations, supporting presales activities, and providing consultative guidance on best practices for OEE and performance measurement. The Solutions Engineer will also train operators and plant leadership on dashboards and analytics, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute feedback to improve the platform.
Qualifications
- Strong Software Development skills for implementing, configuring, and supporting Industrial IoT solutions.
- Consulting skills to analyze manufacturing processes, gather requirements, and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Sales and Presales skills to assist with technical demos, proof-of-concept deployments, and customer discussions.
- Integration skills to connect diverse machines and systems, manage data flows, and ensure seamless platform onboarding.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Understanding of manufacturing operations, production metrics (OEE, availability, performance, quality), and shop-floor workflows.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to work hands-on with machines and plant teams on-site.
- Experience with Industrial IoT, PLCs, data acquisition, or cloud-based monitoring platforms is an advantage.
