Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solar Engineer role based in Jaipur. The Solar Engineer will design and optimize PV solar systems, including rooftop and ground-mounted plants, using relevant design software and industry standards. Responsibilities include preparing detailed electrical and PV layouts, single-line diagrams, cable sizing, and technical documentation. The role involves conducting site surveys, evaluating feasibility, performing energy yield calculations, and supporting project execution teams during installation and commissioning. The Solar Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate with vendors and contractors, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and provide technical support for ongoing operations and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Technical experience of Kusum Projects.
- Strong knowledge of the solar industry and solar power technologies, with understanding of rooftop and utility-scale applications.
- Hands-on experience with solar systems and PV design, including system sizing, layout planning, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in electrical design, including single-line diagrams, cable sizing, protection schemes, and relevant electrical standards.
- Familiarity with PV design and simulation tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, or similar software).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry codes; knowledge of Indian grid and safety regulations is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with project, procurement, and site teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required and work in field conditions.
- Prior experience in EPC solar projects or similar renewable energy roles is preferred.
