Role Description The Senior Admissions Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This position is responsible for guiding prospective learners through the admissions process for Upsurge Infotech’s training and resourcing programs, including initial inquiry handling, detailed program counseling, and enrollment support. Day-to-day tasks include responding to leads via phone, email, and walk-ins, conducting needs-based consultations, explaining course structures, fees, and career outcomes, and maintaining accurate records in the admissions system. The role also involves achieving admissions targets, collaborating with marketing and training teams to optimize outreach strategies, organizing information sessions or seminars, and ensuring a positive, professional experience for all prospective and enrolled learners.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal communication and general communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and professionally.
- Customer service skills focused on responsiveness, empathy, and building long-term relationships with prospective learners.
- Sales-related skills, including lead follow-up, consultative selling, and achieving admissions or enrollment targets ethically.
- Background or interest in education, training, or career counseling, with the ability to understand program outcomes and guide learners accordingly.
- Prior experience in admissions, counseling, inside sales, or student recruitment, preferably within IT training or related professional education.
- Proficiency in using CRM or admissions management tools, along with basic MS Office skills.
- Ability to work on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, manage multiple inquiries simultaneously, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree in business, education, or counseling-related fields is an advantage.

Working Hours 11 am to 8 pm
