Company Description Surface Preparation Technologies (SPT) is a Jodhpur-based manufacturer and exporter of advanced Shot Blasting and Shot Peening machines serving casting, forging, structural steel, automotive, heavy engineering, and related industries.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Associate role based in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The Sales Associate will engage with industrial clients to understand their surface preparation requirements, present suitable machine solutions, and support the full sales cycle from lead generation to order closure. Daily responsibilities include responding to inquiries, preparing quotations and proposals, maintaining customer records, coordinating with engineering and production teams, and following up on deliveries and payments. The role involves conducting product demonstrations, participating in client visits and trade events, and providing basic technical information on shot blasting and shot peening systems. The Sales Associate will also contribute to sales reporting, market research, and the ongoing development of customer relationships to drive business growth.
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts related to industrial machinery and surface preparation systems.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for engaging with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in basic office software and documentation, including email, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple inquiries, follow-ups, and sales activities.
- Prior experience in industrial sales, engineering products, or capital equipment is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in engineering, business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Comfort with on-site client visits, occasional travel, and working in a manufacturing environment.
- Commitment to safe work practices and customer-focused service, including support for training and after-sales coordination.
