About the Role
A proactive and customer-focused Floor Manager to take ownership of the floor in luxury showroom. category — e.g., Floor
1: Kitchen Items, Cookware & Kitchen Appliances and Floor
2: Home Décor, Bathroom Essentials & Home Luxury Products
Key Responsibilities
1. Floor Operations
Take full ownership of assigned floor's daily operations — opening/closing readiness, cleanliness, product display, and staff positioning.
Ensure product categories on the floor are stocked, tagged, and displayed as per brand guidelines.
Monitor and maintain floor ambience, lighting, signage, and product staging to luxury standards.
Coordinate with the Store Manager and warehouse team for stock movement, replenishment, and transfers between floors.
Handle floor-level customer concerns, exchanges, and minor escalations independently; escalate major issues to the Store Manager.
2. Category & Product Expertise
Develop in-depth product knowledge of the floor's specific category (e.g., cookware materials & brands, décor collections) to guide customers and train staff.
Stay updated on new launches, premium/luxury brand collections, and trends relevant to the floor's category.
Act as the go-to expert for high-value or technical customer queries on that floor (e.g., cookware specifications, imported décor pieces).
3. Sales & Target Achievement
Own the sales target for the assigned floor/category and drive team performance to achieve it.
Monitor floor-wise conversion rate, average bill value, and category-wise sales performance.
Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the floor's category and coordinate with the other floor for cross-floor customer referrals (e.g., a kitchen customer also needing bathroom essentials). Provide personalized product consultation.
4. Team Supervision (Floor-Level)
Allocate daily tasks, manage floor staff attendance/breaks, and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
Provide on-floor coaching regarding product knowledge, grooming, and customer engagement etiquette. Report staff performance, issues, and training needs to the Store Manager.
5. Inventory & Stock Accuracy (Floor-Level)
Conduct regular stock checks/cycle counts for products on the assigned floor.
Report damages, breakages (especially fragile cookware/glassware/), and discrepancies immediately.
Ensure proper storage and handling protocols for fragile and high-value items on the floor.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong product knowledge and willingness to build category-specific expertise (cookware/kitchen OR décor/bathroom essentials)
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Sales orientation with the ability to drive and motivate a team.
Basic inventory management and stock-handling knowledge
Attention to detail — visual presentation, product placement, cleanliness
Educational Qualification
Graduate in any discipline (Business Study, Commerce )
Diploma/certification in Retail Management is an added advantage.
Experience Required
Minimum 2–4 years of retail experience
At least 1–2 years in a supervisory/team-lead role (Senior Sales Executive, Team Lead, or similar)
Experience in luxury retail, kitchenware, cookware, home décor, or bathroom/sanitaryware category strongly preferred
Experience handling a team of 3–6 staff members
