Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat for a Concept Setter / Head – Plain and Cubic Zirconia Casting Jewellery. The role involves leading concept development for new collections, defining design themes, and setting creative direction for plain and CZ casting jewelry lines. Responsibilities include preparing design briefs, collaborating with designers and CAD technicians, guiding sample development, and ensuring that concepts align with brand positioning and market trends. The role also oversees quality standards for stone setting, finishing, and overall aesthetics, while coordinating with production, merchandising, and sales teams to achieve timely launches. The Concept Setter / Head is expected to analyze customer preferences, monitor competitor collections, and continuously refine concepts to maintain a strong and distinctive product portfolio.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in jewelry concept development, design direction, and collection planning for plain and CZ casting jewellery.
- Hands-on experience with stone setting, metal finishing, and understanding of 18KT rose gold manufacturing processes.
- Ability to collaborate with design, CAD, production, and quality teams to translate concepts into commercially viable products.
- Knowledge of current jewelry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape in CZ and casting segments.
- Good visual sense, attention to detail, and capability to review and approve samples and final products.
- Effective communication, leadership, and team coordination skills to guide artisans and design staff.
- Experience in a jewelry manufacturing or design-led environment, ideally in casting or CZ-focused collections.
- Relevant educational background in jewellery design, gemology, fashion design, or equivalent practical experience.
