Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations in a manufacturing environment focused on wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and electromechanical systems. The role includes planning and scheduling production, allocating resources, managing workflows, and ensuring products meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Production Manager will coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to maintain smooth operations, optimize processes, and resolve production issues. Daily tasks involve monitoring performance metrics, leading and mentoring production staff, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring on-time delivery to customers. The role also involves maintaining documentation, adhering to compliance requirements, and supporting audits and customer inspections as needed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in production management or manufacturing operations, ideally in electronics, wiring, cable assemblies, or electromechanical systems.
- Strong skills in production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of quality control, process improvement methodologies, and regulatory or industry standards relevant to defense, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using production management tools or ERP systems and working with documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Effective leadership, team management, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and develop production staff.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional teams and reporting production status to management.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, or a related field; relevant certifications in production or quality management are an advantage.
- Experience working in mission-critical or high-compliance environments (such as defense or aerospace) is highly beneficial.
