Role Description The Producer role at Tamilnadu Now is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. Producers will oversee the end-to-end creation of video content, from concept development and script planning to coordination of shoots and post-production. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing production schedules, collaborating with writers, hosts, and technical crews, and ensuring that content aligns with the channel’s entertainment and infotainment vision. Producers will review and refine content for quality, tone, and audience engagement, while monitoring trends to develop relevant stories and formats. The role also involves managing resources, maintaining documentation, and supporting continuous improvement of production workflows.
Location: Chennai (Primary base with regional travel)
Qualifications
- 2+ Experience in video or digital content production, including planning, coordinating, and executing shoots for entertainment or infotainment formats.
- Strong storytelling and with the ability to shape narratives for current affairs, reviews, explainers, and humorous content.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and maintaining production calendars.
- Willingness to travel across South India frequently
- Basic Tamil communication (preferred)
- Who are fluent/expert in Telugu, Malayalam, or Kannada to create engaging content for our platform.
