Role Description The CAD/CAM Engineer will work on-site in Dubai in a full-time capacity, developing and optimizing detailed mechanical and physical design models for production and prototyping. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and modifying CAD drawings, setting up and validating CAM programs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and safety requirements. The role involves working with EDA tools, managing design libraries, performing design reviews, and troubleshooting issues throughout the design-to-manufacture lifecycle. The CAD/CAM Engineer will document design standards, maintain version control, and support continuous improvement of design processes and tool usage.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and experience with Mechanical Engineering principles for real-world applications.
- Hands-on experience in Physical Design workflows, including model creation, optimization, and preparation for manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and environments, including working with design flows and verification processes.
- Practical experience using Cadence or similar industry-standard design and simulation tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards, and communicate clearly with engineering and production teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy and quality.
- Capacity to work on-site in Ahmedabad, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
