Role Description The Assistant Incharge role is a full-time, on-site position located in Chennai, supporting the smooth daily operations of the clinic. This role involves assisting with coordination of patient flow, managing appointment schedules, and ensuring that front-office and basic administrative activities run efficiently. The Assistant Incharge works closely with clinical and non-clinical staff to support documentation, maintain records, and help uphold hospital policies and procedures. Responsibilities may include handling patient inquiries, facilitating communication between departments, and monitoring the cleanliness and readiness of patient areas. The role requires consistent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing a positive experience for patients and families.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, including scheduling, record-keeping, and basic documentation management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams in a professional manner.
- Basic understanding of hospital or clinic operations, including patient intake processes and coordination with nursing and medical staff.
- Competence with common office software and hospital information systems; ability to learn new tools and workflows quickly.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Chennai, manage multiple tasks, and respond calmly in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting is preferred; pediatric care experience is an added advantage.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in administration, healthcare management, or a related field is desirable.
- Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
