About Us
The Law Offices of Mary Kennedy is a rapidly growing U.S.-based immigration law firm headquartered in Illinois, serving individuals, families, and businesses across the United States. As we establish and scale our Chennai office, we are looking for an experienced Operations Lead who is passionate about building high-performing teams, improving operational excellence, and delivering exceptional client service.
About the Role
The Operations Lead will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Chennai office, ensuring smooth coordination between legal teams, client services, administration, and U.S.-based stakeholders.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead teams, optimize workflows, monitor performance, implement SOPs, and drive operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise day-to-day office operations
- Manage teams across Client Services, Front Desk, Caseworkers, and Administration
- Ensure operational KPIs and SLAs are consistently achieved
- Build, document, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor productivity, turnaround times, and quality standards
- Coordinate with U.S. leadership on operational priorities
- Conduct team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee development
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions
- Utilize technology, AI, and automation tools to improve efficiency
- Prepare operational reports and dashboards for leadership
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Operations leadership experience
- Experience leading teams of 15–40 employees
- Strong people management and coaching skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Experience creating SOPs and process improvements
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Experience in Legal Services, Immigration, BPO, Consulting, Healthcare, Financial Services, or other process-driven industries
- Experience implementing AI tools and workflow automation
- Familiarity with CRM and case management platforms
