Role Description The New Product Development role at A.V. Fasteners is a full-time, on-site position based in Rohtak. The individual in this role will lead and support the design, development, and optimization of new fastener products, from concept through production launch. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and technical research, collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, quality, and sales), preparing and reviewing technical specifications, and managing prototypes and testing activities. The role also involves monitoring project timelines, documenting development processes, coordinating with suppliers as needed, and ensuring products meet performance, safety, and quality standards. This position requires hands-on involvement on the shop floor, regular communication with stakeholders, and continuous improvement of existing product lines.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, evaluate performance, and support decision-making.
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D), including product testing, materials evaluation, and process improvement.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting technical information, and preparing clear documentation.
- Demonstrated project management skills for planning, tracking, and delivering new product development initiatives on schedule.
- Hands-on product development experience, preferably in fasteners, mechanical components, or related manufacturing industries.
- Relevant technical education such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with CAD tools, engineering drawings, and basic design principles is an advantage.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and industrial safety practices in a production environment.
- Ability to work on-site in Rohtak, engage with production and quality teams, and participate in shop-floor activities.
