Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The Biomedical Engineer will be responsible for participating in government tendering business overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of medical equipment in healthcare projects, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. Daily activities include coordinating with project teams, vendors, and hospital representatives to plan equipment layouts, verify technical specifications, and support integration with building services. The role involves routine inspection, calibration, and performance assessment of biomedical systems, as well as documentation of equipment records and maintenance schedules. The Biomedical Engineer will also assist in developing preventive maintenance protocols, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing technical guidance to site teams to support reliable and efficient operation of medical facilities.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to healthcare projects.
- Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment, including selection, installation oversight, testing, and performance validation.
- Skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, with a focus on safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline; advanced certifications in medical equipment technology are an advantage.
- Familiarity with hospital planning norms, healthcare standards, and applicable statutory guidelines.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and collaborate effectively with civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and adherence to quality and safety practices.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work on-site within multidisciplinary project environments.
