Role Description This full-time, on-site Equipment Engineer role is based in Hyderabad and focuses on ensuring reliable operation of production equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The Equipment Engineer will plan and perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and automation systems, collaborating with production and quality teams to improve equipment performance, and maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation. The role also involves supporting equipment installation and commissioning, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and complying with safety and environmental standards. The Equipment Engineer will work closely with cross-functional colleagues to enhance process efficiency and support new product or process introductions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting capabilities for diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and automation-related equipment issues.
- Candidates should possess a foundation in Mechanical Engineering to understand equipment design, operation, and mechanical systems.
- Candidates should possess experience with Automation systems, including sensors, actuators, and control logic used in manufacturing equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in high-volume electronics or component manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with TPM, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals, and use diagnostic tools and measurement instruments.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work safely in a manufacturing setting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and production staff.
