Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cad Design – New Product Development role based in Mumbai. The role involves creating and modifying CAD models and technical drawings for new packaging products, ensuring adherence to CAD standards and internal guidelines. Responsibilities include collaborating with product development, production, and quality teams to translate customer requirements into detailed design specifications and manufacturable solutions. The Cad designer will support prototyping, perform design revisions based on feedback, maintain accurate design documentation and libraries, and help optimize packaging designs for structural integrity, material efficiency, and printability. The role also includes coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of design outputs aligned with project timelines.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and familiarity with CAD Standards for packaging or product design.
- Solid skills in Technical Drawing and Drawing, including dimensioning, tolerances, and clear design documentation.
- Experience in ArtiosCad Software (ESKO) or comparable 2D, 3D modeling and data management tools, where relevant.
- Ability to collaborate with product development, production, and quality teams to convert requirements into practical designs.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree (Not Mandatory), Industrial Design, Packaging Technology, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and capability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of packaging materials and manufacturing processes; prior experience in packaging or FMCG sectors is an advantage.
- Effective communication skills and willingness to work on-site in Mumbai with cross-functional teams.
