Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse based in Bengaluru South. The Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing ventilatory support, and assisting with diagnostic procedures. The role involves collaborating closely with neonatologists, critical care physicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. The nurse will provide family-centered support and education, maintain accurate clinical documentation, follow evidence-based protocols, and participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives. The position may also include contributing to training and upskilling efforts related to Smart-ICU workflows and technology-enabled care.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in Neonatal Intensive Care and Critical Care Nursing, with the ability to manage high-acuity newborn patients.
- Foundational knowledge of Nursing and Medicine relevant to neonatal and pediatric critical care environments.
- Experience or training in Critical Care Medicine principles, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency response.
- Current nursing license/registration and completion of an accredited nursing program; specialization or certification in neonatal or critical care nursing is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or similar high-dependency neonatal setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and provide clear, compassionate guidance to families.
- Comfort with using clinical technology and electronic medical records; openness to learning Smart-ICU systems and tele-critical care workflows.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, patient safety, and adherence to ethical and professional standards.
