Role Description The Merchandiser role at Laxmi Garments is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The Merchandiser will manage product assortments, coordinate with production and sales teams, and ensure that gowns and related apparel are displayed and promoted effectively. Daily tasks include monitoring inventory, preparing product presentations, liaising with customers and retail partners, and collecting feedback to inform future designs and stock planning. The role also involves tracking sales performance, supporting marketing activities, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors to align merchandise with market trends and customer preferences.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Sales and Retail skills to manage store displays, drive product sales, and understand retail operations.
- Candidates should possess Marketing skills to support promotions, visual merchandising, and basic market analysis for apparel products.
- Attention to detail in garment quality, sizing, and presentation, with basic knowledge of apparel or textile products.
- Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in merchandising, apparel retail, or garment manufacturing is preferred.
- Educational background in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, or a related field is beneficial.
