Role Description The Math Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student performance, providing feedback, and offering extra support to learners who need it. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and co-curricular activities, while maintaining accurate academic records and participating in staff meetings and professional development. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring regular classroom presence and active participation in the school community.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
- Ability to design effective Lesson Planning and contribute to Curriculum Development.
- Status as a Qualified Teacher with relevant teaching certification or licensure.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- Experience teaching middle or high school students, preferably in a formal school setting.
- Proficiency in creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments.
- Effective classroom management, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Commitment to supporting learners from underprivileged or diverse backgrounds.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and collaborative work with faculty.
