Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physics Teacher role based in Chennai within the Crimson Schools Network. The Physics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging physics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum, ensuring conceptual clarity and practical understanding for learners across relevant grade levels. Responsibilities include preparing detailed lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments; conducting experiments and demonstrations in the laboratory; and integrating mathematics where necessary to strengthen understanding of physics concepts. The teacher will monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support varied learning needs using differentiated instructional strategies. The role also involves collaborating with fellow educators, participating in faculty meetings and professional development, maintaining accurate academic records, and contributing to co-curricular initiatives that promote scientific curiosity and critical thinking.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong subject-matter expertise in Physics and Physics Education.
- Candidates should possess effective Teaching and Lesson Planning skills for K–12 learners.
- Candidates should possess solid Mathematics skills to support physics problem-solving and numeracy.
- Candidates should possess clear communication, classroom management, and student engagement abilities.
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a closely related field.
- Prior teaching experience in school settings; familiarity with national or international curricula (Cambridge/IB) is an advantage.
- Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to support instruction and assessment.
