Airmount Logistics Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Traffic & Vehicle Placement Manager with strong expertise in pan-India vehicle planning, placement and vendor/fleet management.
We are specifically looking for a candidate who has already worked in a similar role in a reputed transport/logistics company and possesses a strong existing network of genuine vehicle owners, fleet operators, transporters and reliable brokers across India.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily vehicle planning and placement across India for FTL, dedicated and other transportation requirements.
- Arrange vehicles quickly and competitively for Delhi/NCR to PAN India as well as inter-state and regional movements across India.
- Maintain a strong network of direct vehicle owners, fleet operators and authentic transport brokers across major transport hubs.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates while ensuring vehicle quality, reliability and timely placement.
- Develop new transport vendors and vehicle owners to continuously strengthen the company's PAN-India vendor network.
- Verify vehicle/vendor credentials before placement and minimize dependency on unknown or unreliable brokers.
- Handle urgent, high-value and time-critical vehicle requirements efficiently.
- Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service and Accounts teams for smooth pickup, transit and delivery.
- Monitor vehicles from placement until successful delivery and resolve transit-related issues proactively.
- Maintain updated route-wise vehicle availability, market freight rates, vendor database and placement performance.
- Ensure proper documentation, vehicle verification, driver details and compliance before dispatch.
- Build long-term relationships with reliable vehicle owners and transport vendors.
Candidate Profile – Essential
Experience: Preferably 2–5+ years in Traffic/Vehicle Placement/Transport Operations.
The candidate must have:
# Extensive practical knowledge of PAN-India vehicle planning and placement.
# Strong existing contacts with direct vehicle owners, fleet operators and genuine brokers across India.
# Excellent knowledge of major routes, transport hubs, vehicle availability and prevailing market freight rates.
# Experience in arranging different categories of commercial vehicles according to shipment requirements.
# Strong negotiation and vendor-development capabilities.
# Ability to arrange vehicles at short notice and handle pressure during urgent placements.
# Previous experience as Traffic Manager / Vehicle Placement Manager / Transport Manager / Fleet & Vendor Manager or a similar role.
# Good understanding of transport documentation and operational compliance.
# Strong follow-up, coordination, integrity and problem-solving skills.
