JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer for our client.
The ideal candidate will be a creative visionary with a strong understanding of design trends, materials, and spatial planning. In this role, you will lead and manage multiple interior design projects from concept to completion, collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver innovative, functional, and high-quality interior design solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Leadership
* Lead and manage interior design projects from concept development through installation.
* Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
* Ensure design execution aligns with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
Client Collaboration
* Work closely with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and functional needs.
* Translate client ideas into creative, practical design solutions.
* Maintain consistent communication to ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Design Development
* Prepare mood boards, color palettes, layouts, and concept presentations.
* Create detailed design presentations, including sketches, drawings, and material boards.
* Develop 3D visualizations and renderings to effectively communicate design concepts.
Material & Furniture Selection
* Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, lighting, and décor elements.
* Ensure all selections align with design vision, quality standards, and budget requirements.
Project Coordination
* Collaborate with architects, project managers, contractors, and vendors.
* Ensure design intent is maintained during construction and installation phases.
* Conduct site visits and reviews when necessary.
Team Leadership
* Mentor and guide junior designers, providing support on design decisions and project execution.
* Foster a collaborative and creative team environment.
Industry Awareness
* Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, technologies, and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum 3-10 years of professional interior design experience.
* Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of completed design projects.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other industry-standard design tools.
* Strong spatial awareness and ability to interpret architectural plans and drawings.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
PREFERRED SKILLS
* Experience in both residential and commercial interior design projects.
* Knowledge of 3D modeling and rendering software, such as SketchUp.
* Leadership and team management experience.
